The Arc’teryx Climb Academy Lake District lets you tap into the essence of trad climbing with a range of clinics and workshops run by expert guides and world-class athletes. Clinics
What should I bring?
Each clinic has a detailed kit list listed on the booking website. Please bring everything on the list. Depending on conditions, you might not have to use everything, but it is better to come prepared.
Can children attend?
All clinics are for adults, aged 18 and above. However, anyone can come and hang out at the Sticklebarn Base Camp.
What are the start / finish times of the clinics
Half day clinic will run between 9am-12.30pm and 1.30pm – 5.00pm. Full day will be 9am-5.00pm. Please make sure you check the times on your booking details and arrive 15 minutes before your clinic starts to register with us.
Do I need a car during the event?
Most of the clinics are within walking distance from the base camp. The Roped scrambling clinic will have a shuttle that will leave from the base camp.
Do I need to bring my own climbing gear?
If you have it we recommend you bring your own kit for the clinics. There will be brands providing some demo gear at the base camp for those who do not own their own kit or who wish to try out specific gear.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Whilst we adhere to the published clinic itineraries as closely as possible, please note the Guide or Instructor on the day has absolute discretion in the interests of safety and adverse weather conditions to vary any planned clinic without notice, should they deem it necessary to do so.
